12 of Our 84 Possible Past Lives Series (collaboration project with Nellie King Solomon)

Jenny Muskopf and Nellie King Solomon are collaborating on a series of 12 paintings which they started during a three month residency in the Cell at Alter Space. These 12 paintings will be make on 2′ x 6′ Mylar scrolls. Together the strips will create a narrative describing 12 possible past lives of singe consciousness (or one soul existing in 12 bodies) during the past 5000 years. The notion that we are living out our 84th life in a 5000 year cycle comes from the Brahma Kumaris (a meditation practice which began in the 1930's).
